As an IT professional, it is my responsibility to make sure our company’s electronic data is secure. Today, Chris and I beat the crap out of some old hard drives (after first using Derik’s Boot and Nuke to securely wipe the drives) to make sure the data that used to be on them is no long accessible. Who says IT guys just sit behind their desks all day? Sometimes we get up and beat the crap out of stuff! Sure it was overkill, but it sure felt good.
