XL Video Is Uploading
Different things have prevented me from posting video from XL the last three weeks. Not this week. The video is being uploaded right now (just after midnight). If you’re one of the ones that experiences XL long distance, go watch this week’s video. Tonight, a revolution began.

Copilot is now free on weekends - Joel on Software →
Remember Fog Creek Copilot? The app that our 2005 interns built that lets you remote control someone’s computer over the Internet to help them with technical problems? Well, recently we figured out that we’re paying for a lot of bandwidth over the weekends that we don’t need, so we decided to make Copilot absolutely free on weekends. Yep, that’s right… free as in zero dollars, free, no cost, no...

Be Prepared!
This is from Becki’s blog: All throughout our dating/marriage relationship, Jason has been “preparing” me for the unlikely event that he becomes paralyzed.  Let me explain.  We could be in the middle of a discussion, and all of a sudden he exclaims, “Oh, I can’t feel my legs or my arms!” And then he starts to lean towards me so I have to catch him. Trust me, if...

Jarrod's blog is blogging
Jarrod’s blog is still on the loose. The techs can’t seem to get it working. While they try, Jarrod’s blog has decided to keep us updated via Twitter. That’s right, Jarrod’s blog is blogging (well, micro-blogging). Here’s a few statements Jarrod’s blog has made that I thought were funny: I’ve been hiding from the techs for the last two weeks. They...

Missing: Jarrod's Blog
Since a lot of people who read this also follow Jarrod’s blog, I thought I’d give you an update. Jarrod’s blog has been down for the last two weeks. I’ve never seen a server be down for so long. Tonight, the I.T. consulting group in charge of the server asked me for help in getting Jarrod’s blog back online. I was then told that they haven’t been backing up the...

Man Found With Maggots In Eye Dies →
This nursing home resident had maggots in one of his eyes, an infected breathing tube, a partially inserted catheter and bed sores. Those in charge of his care should be arrested immediately and face trial. That’s just sickening.

A Lesson I've Learned
Never make the mistake of getting into the car with a pizza delivery guy in Bucharest Romania. This screams for a story, so here’s the short version: Becki and I were visiting my sister and brother-in-law and their family who lived there at the time. My sister and brother-in-law went out for the night and left Becki and I with the kids. Before they left, they ordered pizza to be delivered....

Problems Installing Search On Tumblr?
As I posted earlier, I installed Jacob DeHart’s Tumblr search. I see some people are having problems installing it because the search box just doesn’t show up. If that’s you, once you paste the text they provide, delete all quotation marks and manually type them in again. That should fix the issue. This should also work if you found the search via other blogs.

Experimenting With Search
I think most people’s top feature request for Tumblr is a search feature. Until that’s a reality, I’m trying out Jacob DeHart’s search solution. You can find the search box on the right (for now).

Jack Parker's 52 Memories →
It’s cool to see that Jack Parker’s book is being released very soon. I miss Jack and wish he was still with us. Even though I’ve seen a lot of the material in the book, I can’t wait to see the finished work. I’m sure it will bring back lots of memories of Jack. Thanks Andi for all your hard work!
